This just in from Larry:
"I often hear my colleagues howl when I tell them that I refer my students to Wikipedia when they are searching for a starting point for their history research project (or just want to find out more about a topic that interests them). This article is useful in that it acknowledges that Wikipedia has its weaknesses, but that learners can develop a sense of digital citizenship by not only drawing information from it but also from helping to fix errors on its pages.
An instructional designer I know once gave a fantastic talk about how experts curate Wikipedia pages that relate to topics in their fields to ensure that the public is getting the most accurate, up-to-date information possible."
