Several Interesting Resources Here

This just in from Kyra:

"'The Current' is an open publishing site of Educator Innovator and provides a forum for the sharing of resources and stories by educators for educators about Connecting Learning and teaching. It's hosted by the National Writing Project. I look for new ideas and have shared my work here as well including this 2010 article, 'Thinking Critically Through Authentic Audience and Inter-Campus Blogging.' I also use the National Writing Project's Write.Learn.Lead resource. The Online Network of Educators is also a resource I use pretty regularly; however, it is pretty exclusive to the community college educators.

I've done a lot of experimentation using blogging platforms in my face-to-face classes in the past. I've used several different platforms but I'm most familiar with WordPress. Here is a class blog my 2015 Shakespeare class developed called 'So There's That.' It didn't get the same level of interaction as the rhetorical analysis assignment in the article above, but it was fun. I also started this travel/van life blog a few years ago. I've barely managed any content on it. Maybe this year. Surprisingly though, I get tons of contact forms and interact with folks all the time in email."
