Pia contributed the following regarding online learning and academia:
"Here is an interesting TEDxMIT talk by Tyler Dewitt who highlights the advantages of digital learning over the traditional learning.
Tyler discusses why academia needs to change and break away from the traditional path and adapt to the growing innovations in digital learning. I liked how he predicts the online marketplace of learning will comprise of 'different teachers and different learning approaches.' He argues that digital learning, together with the tools of Virtual Reality, presents a more consistent, one-on-one, and effective learning platform for the learner. More learners around the world can access digital content at their own pace and can practice activities as many times as they want.
Online learning, without any doubt, is the present as well as the 'future of education.'"
