The Evaluation Stage of the eLearning Process

Rebecca submitted the following regarding the role of evaluation in the eLearning creation process. She states,

"This week we have been given time to go back and read through materials from earlier in the course, and I chose to go back to my nemesis, Evaluation. I started with the Elearning Guild’s report, Evaluating Learning: Insights from Learning Professionals by Will Thalheimer and moved through more of Thalheimer’s work on evaluation in the Work-Learning Research blog, here. He promotes the Learning-Transfer Evaluation Model (LTEM), which is an 8-tier model focusing on the types of evaluation done in workplace learning, and the efficacy of each of those tiers in measuring learning transfer.
