Inward and Outward Mindsets

"Learners tend to approach e-learning courses with an inward mindset because its mandatory; their immediate goal is to complete the mandatory training and move on to the next job task. However, e-learning courses are designed with an outward mindset. The ultimate goal is to improve the effectiveness of the entire organization, the collection of employees whose duties are interconnected. This article reminds me of how important it is for instructional designers to bridge that awareness for learners."
