e-Learning for Special Needs

Here's a link from Lori:
"I was curious about how developing e-learning for special needs might be different than a typical approach. What I found so far is that many of the best practices we've learned about are emphasized in importance (visual simplicity, learner controlled, immediate feedback).
I found this article summed it up well. In my experience, the ability to control pace is a 'must' and is a reason why e-learning has been a successful for many special needs learners. I also like the idea of the 'big fat undo' button. The paraphrased quote used here was by Amos Bronson Alcott, 'our best and bravest lessons are not learned through success but through misadventure.'"
