Openness in Education

Here's a compelling argument regarding openness in education submitted by Jennifer:

"The concept of openness in education is something we are still quite hesitant to migrate toward [in my organization]. Information dissemination has been used as a tool for control, money, and power throughout the centuries. In this TED Talk, David Wiley explains how we have an opportunity to advance as a society if we are simply willing to set our greed aside and share our information in collaborative environments. Though filmed six years ago, it is now even more pertinent.

David is currently the Chief Academic Officer of Lumen Learning and the Education Fellow at Creative Commons."
