Responsive Design

Ted submitted this piece regarding "Responsive Design."

He remarks,

"My head is usually in the technical cloud when it comes to eLearning.
The big request coming out of my user population is to view their required training
in more convenient settings, on a variety of mobile devices. Therefore, one of the issues
I've been tackling is responsive web design, or how to ensure that the modules created
on a PC with an authoring tool will display and function as expected on a mobile device.

While I’ve had success creating my own modules in Adobe Captivate with responsive design in mind, many of the modules our organization has contracted through third party vendors still have not be re-versioned in HTML5.
Due to this slow adoption, many of our modules either will not launch at all, or at least have hiccups that prohibit functionality on mobile devices. Responsive design is making more progress now, but it seems we may be a ways off yet in a creating a uniform technical structure that allows the ease we desire in translation of our modules from PC to mobile."
