Four Principles of Design Thinking

Here is a link submitted by Richard, who remarks,

"I have been reading more about Design Thinking and its application that instructional developers can use for existing projects. The steps we take with ADDIE and RAD methodology align with this principle.

1. Putting the Employee at the Center of Consideration
Understanding your learner is critical for success for the department but also the company.

2. Thinking about Solutions, Not Programs
The second point aligns with this week lesson of experiential learning that provides the steps for learners to drive training by "doing and reflecting."

3. Providing Intuitive Learning Technology
Practice in a workplace environment is critical to reinforce learning. Don't wait to touch your learner with an exercise that you are drafting for a new class. Try it out today.

4. Questioning, Testing, and Developing
Prototyping new tools and getting feedback to make improvements is a continuous process.

Thomas Edison designed 3000 bulbs in 2 years before he found the right design."
