Seven Learning Trends for Educational Institutions in 2017...and Eight Corporate Trends

Here's a link for Institutional Trends, just in from Jennifer. She states,
"As a director of middle schools, we encourage and have invested quite a bit of taxpayer money in blended learning and virtual school programs. We constantly focus on what we can do better to engage our learners, relate to them, and effectively teach and reach them!
Spotting some nation-wide trends predicted for 2017 in K-12 schools caught me eye! In this article, Gamification, personalized learning, bite sized learning, video based learning adaptive learning, peer to peer assessment, and degrees for online course are all discussed at length. I'm particularly interested in gamification and personalized learning for the middle levels that I oversee. Nearpod, a simulation software product, and tech programs abound right now. I'm amazed at how little companies and districts have students provided feedback before adoption of these expensive learning platforms, modules, or software.
I'm excited about the future of tech integration and e-learning in public education, but I believe we also have to look for effectiveness and student's ability to relate to the content or course modules when examining national trends as well!

I also came across the article entitled, '8 Corporate eLearning Trends for 2017,' link here, and was pleasantly surprised to see some really innovative Web 2.0 tools becoming a norm in some work places.
