Virtual Reality Tools

Tony submitted some intriguing links regarding the new world of virtual reality. He states,

"I am very curious to see where the future of e-courses will go with the new virtual reality options that will be coming out soon. Microsoft Hololens, link here may change the world.  It will immerse the individual in a holographic environment. The user can still view their present physical environment while the digital content is layered on top. The possibilities are endless.  Check out the video on the page for more information. 

Mark Zuckerberg purchased Oculus Rift, check it out here, and plans to integrate it with his signature product, Facebook.com.  This VR unit presents the user with a 100% graphic environment. The user will be viewing a digitally produced environment, but does not see their physical one, yet.

With these type of tools, a teacher could literally "see" all his students from around the world and students can "see" the teacher and/or the other students. These tools thereby bring back in the "physical" interaction needed in many courses and sorely lacking in many e-courses."
