Danielle submitted an intriguing post, stating,
"I was showing my husband my e-learning project, and noticed he was repeatedly hitting the "return" key on his keyboard, without looking at the screen. Turns out, he had been "participating" in his own company's e-learning training by clicking through slides without even glancing at the content. I was amused at the irony of the situation, but also felt bad for the ID who had spent A LOT of time developing that disengaging slide show.
What can we learn from this? Despite the myth that e-learning must look like a PowerPoint slide show, there are ways to design engaging content. Here's a site with a quick and dirty list of e-learning cliches to avoid, and a couple good practices to embrace."
